Default Broken vacuum reservoir line

Seems like I'm asking questions every week but yesterday, while working on my power steering, I found that a line from the vacuum reservoir (blue part) has been broken. I've looked through the repair manual for diagrams showing the connections but can't find anything from the reservoir. Where should this line go?

It goes up along the drivers side fuel rail and back to the mess of vacuum lines near the throttle body.

So linked back into any one of the lines? The hose from the reservoir is not long at all and I can't find its other half if it broke in half. Car was a relatively recent purchase so I'm still finding new and strange things... if it wasn't connected all along what difference would it make?

Found an awesome writeup here:

still don't know where the line belongs from the reservoir, though

On mine there was a section of thinner hard plastic line that connected to the rubber line from the reservoir. If yours is a 2.8 you should be able to trace it along the drivers side fuel rail.

Which engine do you have? I can help you out if it's a 30v - I just replaced all the lines yesterday.

I just did mine last week. Used the silicone tubing and it is a HUGE upgrade over OEM.

Yes, mines a 30v 2.8. I understand that it needs to reconnect with the rest but it must have entirely blown off from the hub because all thats left is the 6 or 8 inches from the reservoir

Let me know, thanks
