If the 1.8T engine is burning oil on the valves what steps do I take to fix the problem?

i think you mean carbon build up. Run a can of seafoam and you will clean all that up.

Are you sure this will work where can I buy it? The seals look like they may be worn out I dont see how this can help

Did you take the valve cover gasket off and actually look in there then? If so take a picture.
