hey guys!! 2001 audi a4 Q
when i slam the brake and the car stops it smels like there is something burning and it only does it if you slam the brakes. I just want know if its something bad that needs to be fix any help would be appreciated.

 

Something burning off the brakes... look for a leak



Or its actually the brakes... why are you slammimg them?

 

I checked by the brakes, brake lines no leaks, sometimes you push the brakes hard when someone cuts you off

 

Pull the tire and check the actual brake cylinders...

While in there, make sure they move freely.

 

it might be the oil coming off of the valve cover when you slam and it comes drips off on to the headers

 

dont know where u are from but here in cali that happens too often... we developed this awesome strategy... quit riding peoples *** and u wont have to slam on the brakes when someone gets in front of u cuz u will have enough room to gently apply the brakes lol
