Default a/c clutch question
Can just the clutch be replaced, or does the entire compressor need to be replaced? My clutch is rattling/howling, sounds horrible.

I dont think you'll find a clutch seperate from the compressor. If it's rattling/howling that would suggest the pulley bearings are bad, not the clutch. IDK

The a/c hasn't been working for a while. Holds a charge, fan blows all that, but not cold. Yesterday the compressor started making a horrible noise. I guess it's finally had it and needs to be replaced.

mine did the same thing. I'm gunna find out whats wrong tomorrow.
