I need a cam chain tensioner depressor. I know you can make a howmade one but has anyone made one and did it work at all? If you did what was the thread size in the cam chain tensioner?

If you got one could i rent it off you?

 

They cost like 5 bucks lol. I have a few laying around, but not sure where you are located. Your best bet is probably to just get one off ecs.

Do you have a 2.8 or something? I can't imagine them being much different. On the 1.8, it's a chinsy lol piece of plastic with an Allen bolt going thru it. They were def like five bucks. I have two cuz I replaced two and the tool comes with the new tensioners free. I'll ship you one if you need.

 

WOW, I mis-spoke. They ARE infact like $40 bucks. Thats crazy, I could have sworn they were only 5 bucks, what a rip off. Maybe I was thinking about the half moon seal and gasket being $5, i dunno. Let me know if you want one and we'll work out a deal, maybe $39 shipped

 

OP where do you live in Erie? I grew up there, went to Mercyhurst, I lived 2 blocks from there before I went to college.
