My buddy has a 2004 a6 s-line, 2.7t. He just got a boost gauge, and he says he's boosting 15psi. But I think its probably 17psi or so.
I have a 2000 s4. He spanks my s4 everytime we race. I think I migh have kept up with him twice or so.
Now, my s4 is stock. And HE says, his is stock. Which I don't think so.
I want to ask for you people that know, how much psi is a stock 2004 a6 s-line supposed to do? All stock, just an intake. Nothing more, at least he thinks. Is his car chipped or what? And how can you tell if it is?

He's chipped. You're not. That's why he's pulling your hair and calling you Bitch. Stock boost is more like 9psi. At 15+ psi he has an upgraded ECU and DVs. Check the S line forum here on AF - the sticky posts will walk you through all the upgrades and give you a good idea where you both stand and what you can do with the 2.7T.

I'm new to this forum so I don't know how to go to s-line posts and all that.
But do you know how you can tell if your chipped?? Other than looking at your boost gauge, because he really believes that his car does stock 15psi.

Go to the main page - www.Audiforums.com - and scroll down til you see the forum for S-line cars.
To know if your chipped, look at the ECU for a sticker from one of the tuning companies. I think also Vagcom may tell you in a scan of the computer. But tell your buddy he's not stock - give him a link to this post if you like. These cars came with nowhere near 15psi. Period. He's got an ECU reflash or a manual boost controller in his car and that's that.

No problem man - I wasn't positive about the decal (my friend's Giac ECU had a label but they all may not). I can promise you though, unless his wastegate actuators are jammed or otherwise malfunctioning, he's definitely not stock.
Time for you to chip your car too
