so i got a giac tune, and for about a month now i spike 15psi and hold about 8psi and its really surges what should i check for a boost leak? i also replaced the turbo a few days ago thinking my wastegate could be bad, it fixed the dentist drill sound but still holding the same.

 

Sounds like you still have the stock DV. Did you replace it? If not, you need to - the stock DV can't hold the boost of a chipped car.

 

also trying to boost without a tune is a bad thing. did you update your giac software with the new turbo?

 

ya i don't think you're supposed to be peaking at 15 and holding at 8. i believe he just replaced the turbo, not a different one ghost. def do wut jeremy said and you should be good.

 

well whats the point of doin all that work then if your not going bigger?! lol

 

cuz he probably wanted to keep his car running but didn't have enough for supporting mods

 

hold on, i have the normal giac file and i replaced the turbo because it was blown. and i have a ssqv, not the stock dv (i'm not retarded here).

 

so nobody has any more sugestions?
