yes i replaced it with a brand new bosch mafs and. it didnt do crap. but my plug that plugs into it is broken (theres no clip) so ill try unplugging it after work and test it out. does your car hessitate when you drive? jerk lightly back and forth sometimes when you give the gas?/really slow and no power? my hesitation starts at 3-4k also. when im driving on the freeway and i put it into 5th the car sometimes jerks.back and forth until i floor it and it stops. does ur engine vibratate/idle rough for about a second when you come to a complete stop?

you pretty much described my car word for word. Try replacing the clip, I was told by both the Audi dealership, as well as an Audi specialty shop that my problem was the clip. Seeing as both said the same thing without me saying something to them about it, i can only assume that that would be the case. Where did you get the Bosch MAFS from?

I just drove it for an entire day, my local audi shop did it without me knowing and when I returned to ask them how they fixed my cars problem without me paying them to do something... he said all he did was unplug my crappy off brand MAFS, and the broken plug and thats what you get. My CEL has been on for awhile, so i'm not sure if unplugging it will cause it to come on. My ABS is shot, so its always on >.<. I am assuming that they unplugged the MAFS while it was off, but ' not sure. My opinion would be to unplug it while its off, and just drive it around for like 5-10min and see if the problem stops. I wouldn't keep it unplugged and running like that for more then a day.

What the dealer told me was, that the connection isn't 100% when the clip is not secure. The inside of my clip is kind of cracking a little as well. Ill post a picture of it in a minute to show you what i'm talking about.
