I have Audi A4 1.6 2000

I'm having several problems with him, and one is that when I'm driving and when want to stop I ofc press clutch and breake to stop but when I stop RPM-s go below 1000 and car turn off... When I press gas pedal just a bit, when he's around 1000 he works normal.

In middle of driving ( around 90km/h ) i press clutch and hold it, but still it turn offs... RPM-s go below 1000 and done.

That just happens sometimes not all the time, but in last couple of days it started to be really often.

I had a similar symptom,when i pressed down on my brakes,to come to a complete stop,my engine stuttered.

Then it eventually turned off completely at a stop light,at that point,i knew i had to take care of the issue,so i took it to a shop and turned out,the brake hose,had a hole it in,got it replaced and never has done it again.

Check your brake hose and all the vacuum lines for holes or breakage.

P.S. You called it a "Audi A4 1.6 2000" I'm sure you meant,"1.8 2000"

You are also,the first person i have ever seen on a forum,refer to a car as"him" opposed to "her". I'm not poking fun,just thought that was a bit odd and out of the norm is all.

 

yes, those are the simptoms, but when I press clutch in middle of driving and hold it?
RPM-s go below 1000 and engine stall... I just release the clutch and car starts again.

I just checked in car's driving licence:
Audi A4 1.6 I
Year 2000

 

I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T AWM it's a automatic,so I think someone with a stick transmission,needs to chime in in this one. What I suggested your issue could be,is all I have. There are dozens of users on this forum,that know way more than I do.

 

Anyone else got some conclusion?
It's manual transmission.

 

Just to let everyone know... I "unplugged" my airflow sensor, just unplugged it and car is working amazing, no RPM-s below 800-900 and no stalls

I guess I have to change airflow sensor
