car keeps turning off

Problem solved!
Apparently I didn't connect the hose properly that comes out of the airbox. It must have come off completely when I tried starting the car again because the rpm's were going crazy, jumping around from 2000 to almost stalling and then eventually turning off. When I connected it back on real tight, the car instantly started running perfectly. Its amazing how sensitive the maf is. I still don't get how a cel didn't come on though
