Yeah you should never drive it while it miss fires. I have a 98 a4 2.8L and my cousin apparently drove it like that and now here i am with the car after i bought it from her I'm finding out after long hour of work that i have to know replace both cam shaft chain tension-er. after i just redid the suspension, both CV joints, oil cooler, random hoses, and a couple of sensors. By any chance does anyone know what this is? I've done so much to this car but i cant find out what this is. The hoses aren't connected to anything its right under the abs unit.

even if you swap the coils, if u have a bad coil in any cylinder, it will still misfire.

The thing is I only drove it about 8 or 10 miles so i can get the car home and park it until i can get the money, I know i should of parked it and had the car towed , so im still trying to figure whats going on, the coil pack, spark plugs and teh ICM were changed and I checked the wiring ( at least the ones I can intitially see for any cuts ir openings, and I couldnt see any, also those hose might be for the windshield washer fluid on my a4 the washer reservoi is next to the abs and the hoses in the picture look like yours
