Default car won't start

I disconnected the battery, reconnected it and no luck. Recently put in a new cts so it's not that. Checked for codes, nothing either. The batt is at 12V. Maybe a bad fuel filter? I have no idea if it was ever changed. Should I start there? Thanks in advance.

Is there spark? Fuel? Compression? Ide start there. filter would not prevent starting. its just a plastic piece filled with coffee filter paper

Yeah. It's cranking, I'm getting spark. I'm guessing it might be something fuel related since it almost started and then died. Could the crank shaft position sensor have something to do with this?

Well, I ordered a new fuel pump relay to see if that might be it. It's located somewhere under the steering wheel right? Crossing my fingers.

Have you tried pulling codes?

Did you check check the plugs for fuel? If the plugs are wet try a clear flood. Hold accelerator pedal to the floor and crank the **** out of it & see if it starts to go.

It was the fuel pump relay! It was such a relief to hear the engine start. I had to hook up a battery jump starter though since the battery was pretty much dead from trying to start the car so many times.
