i have a 1997 a4 1.8t auto and this morning tried to start my car and no luck...it turned over but didnt start...im thinking its the sparks, coils or injectors...any help would be great

 

Easy way to start if it cranks but doesn't start main thing to try #1 Make sure you're getting spark, screw driver method work fine. The easyest way to check for spark and fuel I'm not sure about using on the turbo motors but we use all the time on reg motors, is Shoot some starter fluid in the air intake try and start if she tries to start but then dies almost instantly then you're not getting fuel. If it doesn't do anything then you're not getting spark. Note even with bad spark plugs the car WILL start it will just run like hell.

 

I don't think using starter fluid on a turbo'd motor is a good idea...

 

i talked to Jermey (ImTheDevil) this morning to see if he could find out what the problem is and he said that it might be the coolant temp sensor and that they are a usual problem and an autozone should have one in stock and its an easy fix maybe 10 minutes max. other than that its sitting on the side of the road in front of my house. after i get out school at 230 im spending the rest of the night trying to find out what the problem is with her and hopefully its gunna be a cheap fix im keeping my fingers crossed
