I'm getting a cone filter with a custom heatshield. Are most chips programmed for the increased air flow?

The ecu has adaptation that can adjust fueling changes up to a certian % (sorry, number is slipping my mind this morning, think its 25%). So as you increase flow, the a/f will change with the added flow in and out to maximize hp. Since you have an 01, they have a better ecu and use a wideband o2 sensor so they actually tune for a certain a/f and it will change fueling to keep it there. Also, as knock and iat's are reduced, timing increases and vise versa. The stock ecu is great when tuned right.
