Every charger I stick into my cig lighter seems to just pop back out. Anyone have a fix or ever swap out to a deeper one?

It's a 96 btw

 

Check the cig lighter. One time there was a piece of metal stick within mine and it wouldn't let me plug anything in.

 

I had the same problem in my 97, the cig lighter is just very shallow. I'm trying to remember now what I did to fix it but I don't think there's much you can do

 

I used a small flathead screwdriver and bent the prongs out on my charger a little to make it fit tighter in the socket. Just try a little at a time, because over bending will pop the prongs out and break them. I never complain, saying " Damnit Audi " but this is something they could have designed better haha. All of mine had the problem and this day and age with all the electronics out, you would think they would have focussed on it.
