Default cloud of smoke upon startup

So I've noticed that my car smokes significantly for about 10 seconds when I start it up if it has been sitting for awhile. The smoke is slightly blueish and has no odor. I'm pretty sure its oil since the car has burnt almost a qt since my last oil change 2k miles ago.

Interestingly, the smoke is not there on idle and only showes up when the engine is loaded (car is reversed out of driveway, etc...)

the car has 112k miles on it. It's a 01 1.8t. What are the likely causes of this?

ALSO, the airbag light just came on. What does this mean?

Burning oil could a be a couple things. It could be that your turbo is going out, your headgasket is shot...have you noticed it leaking oil from anywhere?

No oil appears to be leaking anywhere.

one of my friends from work seemed to think it was the head gasket also. I have not noticed any disappearance of coolant or coolant discoloration - usually a tell-tale sign of BHG.

He also seemed to think that one of the airbag lines may have become disconnected by the passenger seat being adjusted.

I will continue to monitor the situation.
