Clutch replacement suggestion
Hi,
I am looking for a clutch kit. Is the Sachs or Luk clutch any good? I use my car for normal daily use - no racing or anything. I was also looking in ebay and these are the brands I found - Luk, Sachs, Valeo, XTR and F1.
Southbend and Clutchmasters is quite expensive and I am not looking to spend that much.
Thanks,
Debo

Luk is quite good, that's what ECS puts in their RA4 stage 1 kit, which I just installed.
Stay away from XTD and F1, there are many horror stories about those failing in less than a year. Better to do the job right once than wrong twice.
This topic has also been covered many times and we've had quite a few clutch threads just recently in the past month. Search is your friend.

Thanks for your suggestion! I saw the previous posts...most of them talk about Clutchmasters and Southbend. I ordered Sachs as I found that's the stock clutch. I ordered the organic disc....is there any difference?
A Clutch Masters FX100 for your car would have cost you $403.75 shipped anywhere in the USA using a coupon for 5% off the CM kits on www.ringer-racing.com
CM 228mm kit has 1800 lbs clamping load and the FX100 is a peformance metal backed organic disk, the stock Sach clutch is only 1300 lbs and uses a standard organic disk.
