hey guys im somewhat new to the audi game but not so new to turbo game and ive had other turbo cars in the past. But just the other day i did the cone intake filter mod on my car. And since then ive noticed compressor surge in higher rpms. I would think this isnt normal on a4's but any clues whats up with this and or what could be the culprit with these cars ive heard dv and n75 but is there anything else or that should most common. Only thing thats done to the car atm is the cone filter and im running the car open downpipe atm. thanks in advance guys..

 

Compressor surge would be from your DV not opening when you get off the throttle, regardless of RPM. Are you sure it's compressor surge? Still running the original DV?

 

Still on the stock dv but at lower rpms at lower boost or partial vaccum its sounds close to normal butif i get on it it sounds like surge

 

Do you have a boost gauge? Wonder if your DV is opening early or always open?
