Contemplating getting springs
Hey guys,
So yesterday I had my rear wheel bearing changed and when it was being done the mechanic and I noticed that the driver side rear spring is broken at the bottom, missing about 3/4 of a turn and it's starting to rub on the shock.
Instead of buying a new OEM spring I figured I might aswell get 4 aftermarket ones and lower the car a little.
I had intended to get coilovers eventually but they are not really in the budget right now. I know vmaxx arent very expensive but if I recall they are made out of a cheaper metal and I don't know if it will hold up on the salty roads of quebec.
I'm looking at picking up some Neuspeed sport or race springs. I'm leaning towards sport because the drop on the race is 2" and that won't be very handy in the winter time.
Neuspeed sport springs for like 100-200 depending if I can find used.
What do you guys think?

Go for it man. The ride might be a little bouncy depending on what kind of shape your shocks are in, but I wouldn't worry too much. Be careful when you're changing the springs, those things store a serious amount of energy when compressed.
