Default Correct Tire Size: 17" Rim.

Going from my stockers to a 17" rim size. I need to know what you all recommend for a tire size; 225 45 17 I assume is recommended from the research I done. Does this look the best for stock suspension? I heard a 55 side wall helps fill out the fender wells better; I currently have the 225 55 16 aluminum spoked oem wheels on now. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

What is the width of the wheel?

Generally, the width of the wheels determine what size tires you get. Also you need to know which look you want; whether you're gonna go with full-squared tires or stretched.

With 17's, I'd personally run ____/45/17. You could run thicker profile but you will have to adjust the speedometer.

225/45/17 is the correct size. You can go 235/45/17 but they will tend to rub if on a 8" rim. You can go 235/40/17 but they will be a bit on the small size.

You really dont want to go taller then 25".

Thanks Mike! The rims are a 7 1/2" rim so a 225 or 235 45 17 would be the ideal choice. I just want the fuller look since I do not plan on lowering or doing any suspension work to the car. What are you running on your car?..that set-up looks very nice withing the wheel well. Thanks.

Hence the awesome stance! Well, hopefully I won't have too much fender gap that it makes it look off. 235's would give a little more sidewall staying with a 45 series, correct?

Yes it would. I used to run 235/45/17 but they liked to rub.
