Default custom tune cost?

My audi has all the stuff listed below, and once I get the new ECU water/meth is going on next.. I decided the best way for me to go is have a local shop custom tune. I loved the car with the chip before the ECU took a dump on me, but I'm thinking I'll get way more out of a custom tune with the water/meth. I'm trying to get an Idea on the cost, they said its about $120 an hour.. does that sound good? and how long does a tune take? (they have the dyno and all that jazz, autospeed) Thanks for any info you can give

why would you pay for a custom tune for a k04, the pc-16 file pretty much maxes out the k04, save your money and go BT, w/m on the other hand is always a good idea just don't expect to see hudge gains.justmy two cents,

just get a tune for 100 octane. run 93 octane in your car with the meth and you will be around 100 oct in the motor. this will help out. you can advance timing alot more, have lower iat's and run more boost.

dude, the turbo can make a lot more boost just fine, you just have to have the right tune to make sure your engine doesn't blow. and thats what the 100 octane program is for, to advance the timing, and of course the correct mixture of air/fuel.

So the only 100 oct programI found was APR's and its like $500.. thats for 1 program, and I'd have to send my ECU away so I'd be atleast 4 days without the car. If I can get a custom tune for $600 it would be totally worth it. How long can a custom tune really take? even if it took 4 hours thats pretty much the same price, but perfect to my car and without the wait. Any thoughts?
