Angry Dammit Air Bag Light is on again!!!! 1.8T A4 Avant...

Wife moved the Passenger Seat around and lo&Behold the damn light came on. I've downloaded the error code & it says the damn igniter on that side is crap...well guess what? The part is less than 3 months old! So what the hell is going on? Some have told me that the wiring is crap on this model on the passenger side. True? What can I do?
And can the Light be turned off without the VAG program?

This is a common thing, likely due to the connector. Usually you can jiggle the connector (yellow one) and put a zip tie around it, clear the code with VAG-COM, and you're good to go. And yes, you need VAG-COM to clear the code. If you can't find somebody locally with it then it could be a worthy investment for you (I'd say it was the single-most useful purchase I made for my A4).

+1 also you can try spraying it with electrical contact cleaner.
