Default Is the dealer completely mental?

It's been about 6 weeks since I bought my '01t Sport Package, and the little stuff is al done: driver's door handle, headlight washer pump / nozzle / cap, central locking, turn signal, wind-screen chip repair.

Now I want to do the driver's side front lower seat cover, so I called the dealer.

8D0881405: Ecru leatherette sport seat cover. $325 for the part, $345 for the labour. Or roughly 10% to 15% of the car's value . . . for a seat cover.

I can get it done by a local shop in a pretty close match for maybe $125.

Do Audi not realise how they repel and anger customers when they price themselves out of the market on niggling little stuff like this?

I'd like the car correct, but not at the expense of a vital organ . . .
