I was swapping out engine mounts (that I've had in my trunk for 2 months) today and something bad happened.

On the pass side as I was unbolting the the stab. bar bracket from the mount bracket and one of the nuts locked up right near the end of the stud and then the stud started spinning freely. I'm having a hell of a time getting that nut off now.

Has this happened to anyone? Any tips?

ok, i was searching for the wrong thing. Turns out this happens to lots of people and they just replace the stud with a bolt. I wish I'd have known that at about 6 oclock today...

I found the answer on vagsearch.com by searching "b5 way bar bracket stud"
