Got a 2000 A4 1.8 man. It was running a little rough and has had bank one lean code. I decided to knock the cat out for a free mod and it seemed like it was going to ****.

The car did run before. After I knocked the cat out and put it all back together she fires up runs for 3 seconds and then dies. Any idea what went on. I'm use to working on cars, this just makes no sence...

 

i would guess that you have a problem with o2 sensors...

 

That's what I was leaning towards. Did twist the primarys wires pretty good, just wanted to get an opinion from all you guys. I've been assuming the primary has been on its way out. car already has a new MAF and coils

 

Also car has been running rich for a long time even tho it keeps throwing a lean code, just have not had any money to fix, so it got ignored.
