Unhappy Digital Dash Out

Hey guys I just got my car about 2 weeks ago. Tonight on my way home I stopped at the gas station, got some food and started my car back up. The digital dash said the whole put your foot on brake while putting in gear thing. I put it in drive then it said ok! service! which it has said for a few days but only when i start the car and put it in drive. Once its in gear there are no lights or warning signs. I looked this up and it said that the dealer sets it to say service every so many thousand miles so you take it back for oil changes and what not. But anyways when I drove off the digital dash completely went out. There is lighting to it and at the bottom it says all the gears but other than that nothing. No miles left till e radio station or any of that. Shut off and turn back on. still a problem. Any help would be appreciated! I searched the forums but didn't find anything on this.

Turn it back on... There is a button on the underside of the wiper stalk.

Also, related fun fact, the up and down buttons on the end of that handle change what the display shows. Try it out.
