Default Does anyone know where this leak is coming from?

My friend told me its leaking from the differential seal and when i called the dealer they asked me about the input or output seals for the real axle, and that was very confusing, and napa sells seals for the axles. Theres nothing directly called "Differential seal". I haven't taken it apart yet because its a whole days of work to get to it so im going to work on it on friday.

Can't really tell from the pictures, I'm afraid you may need to get it apart in order to tell for sure. Try hitting it with some brake cleaner and rags to get all the extra gear oil off

Lol, that was actually cleaned, I sprayed 2 bottles of brake cleaner and used 2 rags to get it that "clean". I've known about the leak for a.while, ive driven about 6000 miles with it like.that (I know not very smart), previous owners probably drove another 15k miles with it like that. Im just tired of having to worry about it, I was going to get it fixed today while changing my tranny fluid. But its a lot of work, gotta remove the exhauat, and drive line to get to it and I didnt have enough time because I had work. I was just wishing someone has seen this before and could point me to the right direction as to what the seal was called.

The input seal would be where the driveshaft attaches to the differential. The output seals would be at the axles.
