Default Does the ATP manifold fit the wastegate without a spacer?

I called their customer support and was told that the manifold pushes out further than the stock mani and that the 38mm wastegate can be mounted on top without a spacer, even thou this is the B5 forum I'll go ahead and say this is for a 1997 audi A4 1.8t Engine Code AEB, Quattro. To me it looks like a super close fit, I've seen other 20v engines on the vortex using spacers and such. Hoping that the longitudinal setup tucks it. Let me know.

Everyone I have seen on the A4 1.8t needed the spacer because that manifold is actually designed for a Transverse 1.8t.

now do I want it to just space the wastegate, of do I want it to space the wastegate and also spin it 90 degrees? I'm going to have to weld the piece myself and I guess take it to go get ceramic coated so I want it to be as perfect as possible the first time I make it. Also do I use 38mm Flanges? And how many degrees approx should the bend be?
