Driver side door lock

My driver side door lock wont turn at all, I have to lock my car from the trunk. Any idea what could be wrong with it?

probably frozen? try lock lube or wd 40

Your key may be worn too much for the tumbler pins to align and unlock.

wouldn't that mean the ignition cylinder wouldn't turn also?

Possibly - it would depend on the combination of wear on the key and the tumbler pins in the cylinder.

ty for help, but WD40 didnt help

key works fine in ignition and trunk

i guess i just have to replace the lock cylinder
