Driving habbits changing due to gas prices?
Just want to see if anyone else beside myself was driving differently due to the increasing gas prices. I have not "gotten on it" in about two weeks.
Actually trying to drive a little slower. If we try with the 1.8 we can get very good gas mileage

my driving habits have changed over the last couple years, but i think it has more to do with age than gas prices....although the gas prices have definitely helped a bit
I stopped flooring it everywhere when i realized how slow my car is... Besides when i am in like 3rd or 4th going really slow and i gas it a little bit, i can hear my turbo chirping and i like that sound
It's probably not the best decision but i'm getting chipped (APR 91) really soon, hopefully i will be able to resist the temptation to mash the gas all the time

Getting mine chipped has made me actually be more prudent with the gas pedal. I don't mash it as much anymore because I now know that everytime the car shoots forward it's because the chip is doing it's job BUT it also means less fuel efficiency.
I'm not making as many "for the hell of it" side trips anymore. Trying to pack all my running around into one trip in a day's time or so, to maximize the time/range of my tank. Pain in the *** - I miss joyriding.
Happened to notice this post....I always drive my Audi conservatively when accelerating, but I tend to drive fast on the highway (70-80). Two nights ago I did run my Crossfire SRT6 up to 150 just to blow away a VW that had the nerve to keep challenging me.
