Dual Rear Foglights
So the other day I was looking at my tails and thought, you know this rear fog idea is neat, but it has an odd look at night, and if its only on one side why are both left and right bulb housing bult for a rear fog?
so i decided that i would have fun and mess with ppl. i put a bulb in both sides for the rear fogs and now may just keep the passenger side as a rear fog instead of the driverside. or switch it around here and there(just because I hate being normal)
if anyone wants to do it its easy as hell and takes no money(aside from the cost of a bulb)
so heres how I did it and what the results were.
step 1 remove the passengerside taillamp from the car.

I used a dremmel to do it and the sanding wheel, then i blasted out the dust with a keyboard dust sprayer. took approx 3min total to remove, cut, clean and re install.
next step add the bulb...

heres the results...(taken with a crappy cell phone camera)

this is the normal setup with the rear fog on. just the driverside is there.

here it is at night.

Here is the setup with both sides having rear fog lights during the day(the passengerside will be brighter as it wont have "X"num of years with a bulb buring the inside reflective paint)

and here it is at night, looks worse than it is tho.

Cool. Nice post, but it has been done before. I agree, dual rear fogs is better. Most newer euro cars now offer dual rear fogs as opposed to the one German style rear fog. British cars such as Jag and Cooper have done it for a while
its dimmer on the driverside because if you look inside the lense reflector is spotted and faded(may have leaked at some point or something. so it doest reflect the light as well. the side I opened up had been sealed for the past 12 years so its unaffected. so hence its brighter since it can reflect more of the light. if it wouldnt leak after id crack open the drivers lence and re coat the reflector to brighten it up.
btw I have no idea what that color is...lol
