When's the last time it had a tune up? Fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, etc.

How many miles/kms on the car? I'd bet yours is original. Relatively easy job to change it, I'd slap a new one on there and see if that helps.

Try some seafoam in the gas aswell. Should sparkle the internals up a bit.

160,000 or 160? o_O

When you change it, don't bother ******* around with the stupid clamp thing that holds it on. Once you get the banjo bolts good and tight, just jam it back up beside the gas tank. When you re-tighten the tank straps it will be in there good and snug, should shave at least an hour off the job. If you hit anything hard enough to knock it loose you're gonna have bigger problems

I mangled the clamp when I had to cut mine off with a hacksaw blade to get it off. I just put it back on with a nylon zip tie thing.

Are you modified at all? Verify that if your ECU is stock, that the new plugs are at .032", and if you're chipped, they're at .028". Also, pull your coil packs and look in the plug bores for oil. Leaking inner valve cover gaskets can let oil seep under the coil boots and cause a weakened spark.
