Default Exhaust advise

Ok, so last summer I had a magnaflow muffler with tips installed, but left the center resonator. When I was asking the guy at the muffler shop about replacing that with another muffler, he said he could put in a straight thru resonator for 80 bucks. I don't want my car to sound like a Honda, but would like a little more tone. He said that they have louvers inside, and if you put in on in reverse, the louvers capture more sound. What have some of you guys done?

people have either replaced the resonator with a pipe or left it there. your exhaust note will be louder if you take it out. i'd get a piece of piping and a some clamps and diy it. it'd cost you about 20 bux and a sore arm the next day if you're taking it out with a non electric saw

Yeah, I was listening to some of the cars on Youtube that have no res, and I'm not sure I like the note. Its a little too raspy. There is a kid in my neighborhood that has a riced out Prelude, and I don't want my car to sound like his!

i don't think the videos do the actually sound justice. try what i suggested, you could return the stuff minus the clamps and couplers the put the resonator back on.
