Default failed drive clean test!! Need Help!

Just failed ontario drive clean test, have a 98 1.8t with APR chip and intake 2.5 catback. They say i have a high CO% at idle the limit is .70 my a4 was at 2.68. Any ideas what it could be?

Government list says one of the following:

Maladjusted idle mixture
dirty air filter
faulty fuel injection system
faulty computerized engine management system and/or oxygen sensor
excessive electric fuel pump pressure
faulty air injection system
inoperative/missing catalytic converter
defective evaporative canister purge system

anyone have this problem before??

Thanks

Josh

lol you weren't even close!

hmmmm lets see...Are you the only one who's modded the car? Is it possible someone gutted your cat? (its a stretch i know, just thinkin out loud)

I would think that if your CO emissions are THAT high, your O2 sensors would be freaking out by now. Do you have access to an OBDII scanner or VAG-COM?

I do have an odb2 scanner, I scanned it and no problems the co 2.86 reading was at idle. When I did the 2500rpm test it was at 1. The car was sitting for awhile so I dumped lucas injector cleaner and changed the filter. Im gonna drive it a couple times this week and do the test again this weekend. ANything else I should do?

Last test was two years ago and I passed, All I did since then was changed the diverter valve to the tt diverter and replaced all the vacuum lines. Can that have anything to do with it?
