Default Finally diagnosed clunking/rattling in the front.

Today I did an oil change and while the wheel was in the air I remembered reading to shake it from side to side to see if something was loose. I ended up seeing that an end of one of the CA's was moving inside the knuckle. So I guess I just need to replace the CA? Why would it have play in there anyway?

It's a wearable part, why wouldn't it at some point?

When the CAs are in good shape they won't move. Time for replacement.

Ok, so actually the ball joint is tight in the knuckle, but loose inside the control arm. Someone told me that I could just have a shop press back in the ball joint with a machine. Is that even possible? I thought we had to buy the whole arm and ball joint together when something like this happens because it's all one piece?

I found this on youtube. This is exactly my problem. The same arm too.
