Question flickering light and speed sensor.

OK here's what I have... 1999.5 avant quattro (1.8t). drives fine, but the dash lights have intermittent flicker from the brake light seatbelt light, and a hand full in the center of the cluster. Trouble code reads speed sensor... Any ideas??

I had this "speed sensor" funny light business happen similarly with a subaru and it turned out that the alternator brushes were getting short not making contact, and then low voltage meant high amps which caused the sensitive speed sensor to throw the code. Could that be what is going on?

Volt gauge reads normal, drives fine... flicker does not seem to be associated with anything (acceleration, deceleration, braking, high speed, low speed etc.) help help!!

It seems as if I have found the issue. A ground wire was loose on the valve cover. Thanks anyway!
