motor oil

trans

rear diff

etc.... whats best for my car and when should they be changed

thanks.. winter is coming up and just bought this so i wanted all new fluids since i dunno anything about the previous owner.

 

motor oil 3-5k. castrol, mobil 1, royal purple. full synthetic if you want otherwise conventional is good enough.

trans 60k-80k. depends if you're auto or manual.

rear diff 100k. 75w90 gear oil. same as center diff oil

 

got an auto.. thanks on rest of info.

 

with a manual trans, i change the fluid every 3 years/30k miles or so, rear diff every 5-6 years. auto trans fluid should be able to go 60k or so miles with. i may be slightly over protective though.
