Fmic for stock ko3? (Eventually frankenturbo)
Nice. I work near the Lorton location a few days a week. They put my clutch in last August. Gonna be taking my car to them again for a 4 wheel alignment after I finish replacing my shocks, control arms, TRE's, etc.
Is the united motorsports stage 3 for the aeb the best for the ft? I would assume it is, so it looks like new injectors is also on the master plan. Do aeb have a 70mm maf housing or should I pick one of those up too
I'm gunna order a fmic and 630ccs (if that's what I need) this week, and get a test pipe put on. Then when I get the money, chip and ft

AEB uses a ~65mm MAF. The FrankenTurbo kit should include the appropriate MAF housing to work with the United Motorsport tune (just make sure when you order to say you want the MK3 version of the housing).
FWIW, you are supposed to be able to run the United Motorsport 630cc tune on a stock turbo. There was a thread on Fourtitude or Audizine where a guy was sharing his experiences doing just that. This is one of the reasons why I went with it.
Lastly: do you know where you're buying injectors from? I supported Mike Hood @ Ringer Racing, and he hooked me up with good pricing.
I've heard good things about the united motorsports tune for the ft do ill probably go with it. As far as where I'm buying all this stuff, I'm definitely open to suggestions. I normally buy my stuff through ecs but if ringer has a better price on 630s then ill go with them
But now that i think about it, if there is a tune similar to the United Motorsports stage 3 aeb for less money...well i would go with that. Are there any similar besides just a run of the mill Ko4-0015 file? Maybe a more aggresive Ko4 or less aggresive Gt2871?
Also once this is all done with, my car will have close to 200k miles. Will it be able to handle the extra horsepower without throwing a rod or just blowing up??
Ill get some pictures up of my car for you guys, ive always been to lazy but it'll happen eventually

You could always spend less. But I doubt you'll find a Stage 3 tune (brand new) for less than $500. UM has really nice tunes, great drive-ability. One option is to keep your eyes peeled in the Audizine and Fourtitude classifieds for a used ECU with the tune you want. (then you could sell or trade your current ECU, unless you wanted it as a backup)
I'm finally getting to the point of starting my fmic project and I've come up with a few options (keep in mind I want a 2.5" core or less so I don't have to mess with the bumper support too much):
Option 1:
core: http://www.ebay.com/itm/330350756025?redirect=mobile Piping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380643451883?redirect=mobile Total: $215
Option 2:
Package but without car specific piping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140612930330?redirect=mobile Total:$163
Keep in mind I have no way to bend the pipes or weld them but I can cut them. Please don't tell me to save up $500 to get a "proper" fmic, these might not be perfect but it's worth the $200 risk. Any suggestions are (as always) appreciated.

I ran a Godspeed FMIC setup (this was before CX Racing came out with their A4 kits). The intercooler was the same size as your first link. It was pretty good with the stock turbo, but IATs were too high with the FT setup (especially considering we only get 91 octane here).
Right now I'm using the hot-side piping from the Godspeed kit but modified, and my cold-side piping is all custom.
Also, I switched in the intercooler from your third link, but in black. Here's the non-painted version:
cxracing.com: Front Mount Intercooler 28"x7"x2.5", 2.5" Core: 22"x7"x2.5", 2.5" Inlet & Outlet, , BMW Audi A4 Golf
This is probably the smallest I'd go with a FrankenTurbo kit.
That piping kit looks fine. Personally I'd recommend not making your own piping unless you have the right tools to do so. You really need some sort of flare or bead on the end of the pipes to prevent them from popping off, and to also strengthen the pipe where the clamp fits on.
