Fog Light Mods doable?
i still dont understand how someone will get a ticket. Those cars came with them stock with non projector housings, and dont tell me they were designed for HID non projector housings because you can put the same models side by side and one can be HID and one non and they are the exact same headlights. im just trying to figure all of this out. Doesnt make sense to me how HID's will just "scatter" since they are just putting out more light than halogens either. If you look at halogens in the stock housings, they do the same thing just not as much because the HID's are brighter.
Those housings you're talking about comparing are both designed for HID. You can put halogens in an HID housing, but not the other way around.
Halogen bulbs emit light in all directions and scatter against the reflector, but the HID emits light in only some directions which gives hot spots when used with the wrong reflectors.

Exactly. HID's are much brighter and more intense. That, along with the "scatter" produced by reflector housings shines light all over the fckin place, blinding people in front of you and oncoming traffic. Usually you won't get a ticket unless the person you happen to be blinding is a cop. Just get some projectors dude, they're not that expensive and you'll be extremely pleased with the results.
