Frankenturbo setup
Ok thanks ill go with the Evolution Racewerks test pipe. Than Ill get a resonator and muffler from somewhere and have a local exhaust shop do custom 2.5 inch piping for the rest. I think Im gonna try to go with supporting mods first and install them as I get them (exhaust/test pipe, fmic, etc) and when I have all that good stuff then Ill get the FT kit and following that the tune after I have all the necessary things (Injectors, FPR, MBC etc). Its fine to have the a FT with all those other goodies running on a K03 tune until I get the final tune correct?
Pretty much what you just said, is what I did. I ran a GIAC K03 tune for a couple months on my FT setup. The only thing I might suggest is to wait until you install the FT to have your exhaust redone... the FT exhaust mani lowers the turbo slightly (enough that the turbo brace no longer works) and this could affect exhaust alignment.
As for the tune, if you go with United Motorsports 630cc, Jeff says that it will work with a K03. So just a thought.
