Is the frontdiff fluid self contained or dose the tranny fluid lubricate it car is a 99 with the tiptronic.

Not sure on the 99, but on the 2001 V6 with tiptronic, the front differential is 75W90 and the auto trans fluid is Pentosin ATF fluid .... so, they are separate units.
