when you first start your car all the warning lights should come on for like 3 seconds. You should look for the orange CEL during those 3 seconds and make sure someone didn't just kill the bulb to make it go away.

Just go to the dealership, the part's like $10 and won't fall apart after a year like some cheap aftermarket crap or a plain rubber hose.

I did... to me that system is worthless. It has a bunch of parts that may break over time (like this one), it's a pain to service, it can get in the way when servicing other things, it adds weight and complexity to the car, and my favorite part: it only runs for something like 30 seconds on COLD starts! Definitely not worth it to me.

But, you'll get a CEL removing it unless you have the ECU programmed accordingly.
You mean to say I could actually get it coded out?

I currently have CEL P1423, I've had it since I've had the car. I have replaced practically everything in the entire SAI system.

I am convinced my passenger side head EGR port is clogged.

If coding it out wasn't that expensive, I would go ahead and do the SAI delete.

I was wondering though, if the SAI system is deleted, will the Diverter Valve be necessary or can that be bypassed too?

Talk to k0mpresd, he'd be able to code out all the crap you don't need.
