It doesn't need to, he just said the chip got him to 225 ft. lbs. Anyway, I wasn't saying that a chipped 2.8 is a torque machine, I was just saying that it's not true that "a chipped 1.8 has way more torque than a 2.8." Because it's not.

His 225ftlbs was to the wheels, thats WITH drivetrain loss. That would put him at the claimed 245 at the crank. So a chipped 1.8t has WAY more tq, more tq sooner, and more tq all through the powerband.

is the 2.8 a quattro? because if it is, it has absolutely no chance against a chipped 1.8t GTI. Even if its a fwd A4, its will still lose to the GTI.

I would like to race one one of these days just to see how the a4 would do. Think it would be pretty close, but yes the gti is lighter which would = faster. Just would like to know by how much. I cant ever seem to find one

the GTI he's racing is STOCK! only has an exhaust, so i dont know where this chipped GTI stuff came from

and yes the chipped 1.8t has way more tq. the whole point of the k03 is torque
