H&R Spring set up

So i just put in S4 struts and springs on my 1996 2.8 a4 and now i was wondering if i could put H&R racing springs on the S4 struts? And if i could would i have to put in ground control top hats for the struts?

are you sure those struts can handle race springs drop? I always thought that it was only good for a temporary fix....just my .02

The struts might last a while, but prolonged use will cause them to fail. Always good practice to replace the struts when installing new springs. A tad more expensive, but worth it for the added safety.
