there's a lot of windy roads around where I go to school, I was able to drive my sedan at 22.5" ground to fender with cheap coils comfortably down them going ~60mph. with my stock suspension 27" ground to fender avant, going 45mph isn't as comfortable. both quattro. fwd cars I've been in can barely go 30 comfortably. I miss spirited low driving in my car that doesn't drive any more the stress on the control arms ftl though

am i crazy or does you passenger mirror look crooked, also holy bejesus with the amount of coils left. if you could control the suspension inside the car, you could easily lay frame haha

hit up NAPA or autozone for a new axle instead of replacing the cv joint. Make sure you replace the big bolt from the outside, too.

it's around the same price and 1000000x easier/cleaner.

the bolt that holds the axle to the spindle.

It normally comes in a kit with the axle. depending on your year you will need to find a big *** 14mm allen (they come in 1/2" drive) or I think it's a 17mm 6pt (normal). That bolt is torqued to like 1million ft/lbs, so make sure you use the right size and get lots of leverage.

The front axle bolt is a 17mm Allen bolt and the torque is huge - bring your muscles. It's 130 ft-lbs plus a 180 turn. If you buy an axle rather than rebuilt the joint (which is very easy to do), don't buy an Empi-brand axle. They were having problems mismanufacturing them. They were about 1/2" too short which stretched the joints and blew them out in 5-20 miles (search my old posts for info on this). Rebuild is more money but it's ftw.
