Brie, I'm assuming your ORIGINAL worked fine right? the wiring diagram should be on the bottom of your original stereo, I'm attaching a diagram anywho....

About the missing plugs someone mentioned, you should actually have 4 different plugs that plug into the back of the radio......

And I'm curious too, since I've had a few Audis, and even the WALMART (yes LAUGH) harnesses worked..but Best Buy, Circuit City etc... they've all always worked for me....so I'm curious....as to the missing plug.

 

i do not have a wiring diagram on my radio ... for some reason if it can go wrong it will go wrong on my car

If we're talking about the same radio, and according to the diagram, it seems you are two plugs short somewhere?? did they fall in the back? you are missing speaker wires and ground wires.....the dash isn't that hard to take out.....if you want directions, let me know....
