Does anybody know how to remove the cam gears off of a 2.8? is it pretty simple or...? I am going to try to remove the heads for a head gasket replacement. Is there a link to this that anybody knows of? Can anybody help?

 

Sure. You just loosen that 17mm (?) bolt that holds them on...loosen. Leave it on so you don't have to worry about the sprocket hitting the ground. The put the teeth of a 3 prong gear puller behind the sprocket and crank down on the bolt that lines up with the end of the crankshaft. You'll hear a pop...and the sprocket is free.
