Heated Seats not heating

did u need a computer or vagcom to get rid of the light? or does it just go out once the problem/connection is fixed?

Disconnect battery (have your radio code ready), cut wires before/after connector (I did not need any extra lengths; otherwise, you may splice wire in), connect. I would assume the battery disconnect (if longer than 30 min) is enough to clear codes. Not sure though, airbag codes may be stored. What year is your car?
