Default Heater core flush, steps needed afterwards?

Heater core backflush w/ pics - AudiWorld Forums

I read that the heater core holds 24-36oz of coolant, so my question is...

After flushing my heater core, do I need to add 24-36oz of G12 back into the system? Am I going to add it to the expansion tank or add it somewhere else?

My coolant was just flushed a few months ago so I am definitely trying to avoid a full coolant flush, I just have NO heat so I am going to try flushing the heater core before replacing it.

Thank you

And won't there be a bunch of hose water in the heater core after flushing it or does it all run back out once the water is turned off

you can probably blow the water out of the heater core, but it wont all come out since the in/out is at the top and it relies on water pump to move it through. You can re hook it up start bleeding it and adding as necessary
