Help me fix this please!
Okay so I think my other post is just gone, so im going to try to explain my problem better and hope for an answer to my problem!
OOOOOKAY, so When my car sits for more than an hour or two it takes about three trys to start it. So far i have replaced the coolant temp sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel pump relay(#372). Also when i am going through first and second gear its kind of iffy like it wants to go but isnt fully there. I have been reading about people with this same problem replacing their N80 valve, injectors, etc. with no luck. If any one has had this problem before and knows a solution please help me!!
Also it is a 2001 Audi a4 1.8tqm

Is your fuel pump aftermarket, or audi oem? I am having the same problem. Audi said it may be the aftermarket fuel pump, they said that some don't have check valves, and that the fuel system bleeds down when you shut the car off. My next step is a audi oem fuel pump $$$.
my problem started out as just every once in a while it would crank but not start. I put a new fuel filter, and aftermarket fuel pump in at same time, and now it does it all the time. If the car sits for more than a few minutes, it takes 2-3 tries to start it. I think the dealer may be right, Just hate to buy another pump and be wrong. The dealer scanned my car and nothing showed, I also have new coils and plugs.
No, I just had my coils replaced under the recall, and it did nothing to fix the problem. I bought a new Bosch fuel filter and a new replacement fuel pump from autopartswarehouse.com. This is a real pain, If I cant get any ideas from anyone here, I will have to give my first born to the Audi dealer to get them to fix it!
